Aaron Nola: Philadelphia Phillies' Ace Pitcher

Early Life and Career

Aaron Michael Nola (born June 4, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers. The Phillies drafted Nola in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft.

MLB Career

Nola made his MLB debut for the Phillies in 2015. He quickly established himself as one of the team's top pitchers, earning multiple All-Star selections. In 2018, Nola led the National League in innings pitched and strikeouts per nine innings. He finished that season with a 17-6 record and a 2.37 ERA.

2022 Season Highlights

In the 2022 season, Nola continued to excel for the Phillies. He pitched 205 innings, allowed 170 hits, and struck out 235 batters. He also posted a 11-13 record with a 3.25 ERA. Nola's performance helped lead the Phillies to their first World Series appearance since 2009.
